To see the ever evolving cycles and patterns in life you cannot go past the humble flower. We marvel at their beauty, our spirits uplifted at the mere sight of a tiny bud of colouring, the first signs of what is to come.
Flowers have been used by artists and poets alike to bring forth a surging of emotion. We give them to our mothers and our lovers to show we care. Flowers are used to beautify our surroundings, in our gardens and on our tables.
They are part of the true beauty of our mother the earth goddess. The goddess did not place flowers here for their resplendence alone.
Flowers have healing qualities, the herbs themselves have been used in potions, elixirs, poultices, snuffs, balms, creams, lotions, for millennia, and now the life force <essential oil and flower essence> has been captured for use. Healing modalities, magical purpose, the use of flowers proliferate in these modern times.
In some circles it is not so much the meaning of the flower itself but the colour and where it is worn and how it is presented to the recipient that is of utmost importance.
Purple- Often associated with royalty this colour also represents higher learning, knowledge and the greater self or something to aspire too.
Blue- This colour is associated with thought processes, service to others, and love of the charitable kind.
Turquoise- Often associated with our words, speaking your mind, sharing your point of view and your emotions.
Green- Often associated with envy, green is the colour of nature so it represents all things that occur naturally including the natural emotions. This colour has a direct link with the heart.
Yellow- Oh the colour of the sun. This colour represents lightheartedness, frivolity, happiness and warmth.
Orange- This colour still represents warmth and fun but has a more serious undertone. It is related to the self so to receive flowers of this colour generally means the presenter is giving the receiver something of themselves.
Red- The colour of the life cycle this also represents love and passion. This is often seen in the giving of red roses.
Pink- Also associated with love, this colour represents kindness and caring toward the recipient and is in some circles a greater form of the representation of love.
If you receive flowers with stripes in the colouring, this means your affections are not reciprocated or the answer is no.
