THE SECRET LANGUAGE OF FLOWERS

THE SECRET LANGUAGE OF FLOWERS

To see the ever evolving cycles and patterns in life you cannot go past the humble flower. We marvel at their beauty, our spirits uplifted at the mere sight of a tiny bud of colouring, the first signs of what is to come.
Flowers have been used by artists and poets alike to bring forth a surging of emotion. We give them to our mothers and our lovers to show we care. Flowers are used to beautify our surroundings, in our gardens and on our tables.

They are part of the true beauty of our mother the earth goddess. The goddess did not place flowers here for their resplendence alone.

Flowers have healing qualities, the herbs themselves have been used in potions, elixirs, poultices, snuffs, balms, creams, lotions, for millennia, and now the life force <essential oil and flower essence> has been captured for use. Healing modalities, magical purpose, the use of flowers proliferate in these modern times.

In some circles it is not so much the meaning of the flower itself but the colour and where it is worn and how it is presented to the recipient that is of utmost importance.

Purple- Often associated with royalty this colour also represents higher learning, knowledge and the greater self or something to aspire too.

Blue- This colour is associated with thought processes, service to others, and love of the charitable kind.

Turquoise- Often associated with our words, speaking your mind, sharing your point of view and your emotions.

Green- Often associated with envy, green is the colour of nature so it represents all things that occur naturally including the natural emotions. This colour has a direct link with the heart.

Yellow- Oh the colour of the sun. This colour represents lightheartedness, frivolity, happiness and warmth.

Orange- This colour still represents warmth and fun but has a more serious undertone. It is related to the self so to receive flowers of this colour generally means the presenter is giving the receiver something of themselves.

Red- The colour of the life cycle this also represents love and passion. This is often seen in the giving of red roses.

Pink- Also associated with love, this colour represents kindness and caring toward the recipient and is in some circles a greater form of the representation of love.

If you receive flowers with stripes in the colouring, this means your affections are not reciprocated or the answer is no.

I Am Heartease

DID you ever wonder why you are here at this moment in this time. Let me tell you a little story. Then i will give you the answer to that universal question
WHY AM I HERE?

A king went into his garden and found wilted and dying trees, shrubs and flowers.

He asked the Mighty Oak
'Why do you wilt and die?'
The Oak replied, 'I am dying because I can not be tall like the pine.'

Turning to the wilting Pine the King asked,
'Why do you wilt and die?'
The Pine responded, ' because I am unable to bear grapes like the vine?'

The King turned to the dying Vine, and asked once again, 'Why do you wilt and die?'
The Vine responded in kind saying, 'I am dying because I can not blossom like the rose.'

The King looked around his once beautiful garden and then his eyes befell upon a most beautiful plant, blooming and as fresh!

Upon inquiry as to the beauty and health of the Heartsease he received this reply:
I took it for granted that when you planted me you wanted heart-ease. If you had desired an oak, a vine or a rose you would have planted them. So, I thought, since I can be nothing but what I am, I shall try to be that (Heart Ease)to the best of my ability.

You are beautiful, and you exist!

Why are you here?
Because you are.
What are you meant to be?
The best of who you are now.

Thank you to A Celtic Warrior for the beautiful story

What Makes You Happy?

The question, much misunderstood, is upon the minds and lips of everyone at some stage whether they are questioning their life, existence or simply looking for an outlet to bring pleasure.

Some people mistake happiness for motivation and all though they may have copious amounts or be tremendously lacking in the motivational area does this mean they cannot be happy.

Motivation is something that is different in everyone. Why another gets out of bed in the morning is no business of any ones even if it does not fit in with your ethical or moral allusions about what one should be driven by.

A mother once came to me exasperated at her sons motivation. The Mum felt that her sons lust for money and it being his main driving force would shape his life in a negative fashion making him greedy. She feared this type of motivation would cause him to harm others as she saw it as a negative driving force.
In truth the lad had never harmed anyone in his life and was a very caring individual. What looked like the drive to accumulate wealth was indeed actually the drive to provide for his family and give them the best opportunities life had to offer. Not only was he motivated by his families needs but those of the community in which he lived always donating time and money to causes in his community which he felt would most benefit.

After discussing with her the issues about her own motivations and her misconceptions about money she began to see how her misunderstanding had stopped her from enjoying her sons accomplishments and being a positive force in his life.

If we can misunderstand the motivations of those closest to us then it is certain we can misunderstand the driving forces of others around us prompting thoughts on how minding ones own business can be a very positive step on the path to happiness. After all, why get bogged down in things you know nothing about.

There are many motivating forces along the path to happiness but how ever we choose to get there, we are all moving in the same direction and that is to be happy.

How we measure our happiness can also lead to wiser choices on becoming a happier person.

Some may measure their happiness through success, how much money is in the bank, or what degree of satisfaction they feel at the end of the day on a job half done! All of these things are personal indicators only useful to certain motivational paths.

However there are universal indicators by which we can all measure our happiness whatever our motivation may be.
1. How often do you laugh?
2. How often do you smile?
3. How often do you feel serenity?
4. How often do you feel calm?
5. Do you sleep well?
6. Are you grateful for what and who you have in your life?
7. Do you depend on medication or other drugs to feel any of the above?

Never feel guilty about the path you take to happiness and do not let others judgments get you down.

What makes you happy?
Work, hobbies, family, relationships/ I want to hear all about it!
